This post is super picture heavy and SUPER awesome.
I’m going to take you on a photographic journey of Maternity – NICU – Going Home – Sweet Thriving Babies!
Meet Katey and Eric Yates
From their blog a little quote…
“But after one surgical procedure, a weeklong hospital stay, three weeks of bedrest, one ruptured amniotic sac, and 36 hours of playing “the waiting game” with Katey’s body, it was go time.
Our beloved Nash Jamison and Jude Weston were born Friday, Feb. 7, at 9:20 and 9:22 a.m. respectively.
They were 26 weeks old.”
Our first shoot took place as a little gender reveal at the beach. I have never shot at the beach on a more beautiful day. Typically I don’t love shooting at the beach but I remember driving home and calling Kevin saying I had never had such amazing light, weather, and sand at the beach.
Our second shoot took place at Mary Birch Women’s Hospital in the NICU.
Those sweet little warriors had spend 99 days (Jude) and 104 days (Nash) fighting and growing in that NICU.
I was so honored to be there on the day the Nash was released meaning that they Yates were now done with the NICU and going home for good!
We meet again, for shoot #3!
I couldn’t wait to photograph their “newborn” session once the boys got settled in to life at home!
They are now 16+ pounds of chunky cuteness and 7 months old!
I cannot even believe how far these two have come.
I know that God has such a special plan for these two and their parents.
It was truly an honor to witness the miracle of their little lives!
Enjoy the sweetness ;]
